  1. Unfortunnatly, in Paris the price is more or less the same every where. The best thing is to go in the big commercial centers around paris (like in "La Défense").

  2. Le quartier latin is very expensive !

Go to Châtelet les Halles or La Défense but they are commercial center.

If you want streets go to Strasbourg saint Denis or between LaChapelle and Barbès or Marché aux puces at Porte de Clignancourt

  3. Well, if you're looking for bargains, you might consider going to Tati. It's crowded, not at all glamorous, and not especially well-organized, but there are some good prices to be found. http://www.tati.fr/www/ They have locations in the following areas of Paris: Saint-Germain, Gaîté, Place d'Italie, Place de Clichy, Saint-Lazare, Temple, Saint-Elisabeth, and Barbès.

Otherwise, you might consider Carrefour, France's best-known "hypermarché". There's one in the 16th arrondissement (Porte d'Auteuil métro station, line 10): http://www.carrefour.fr/magasin/votremag...

And one just east of Paris, in neighboring Montreuil (Porte de Montreuil métro station, line 9): http://www.carrefour.fr/magasin/votremag...

    I hope that helps.

  4. Of course there are the very trendy and expensive shops on the Champsee-Elysee. But on the side street of the Louvre there is fabulous and cheap shopping. THere are also markets that you can check out. Try Monmatre too. There are a lot of palces to see. The farther away you are from tourist sites the better!!!!! Enjoy your shopping!!!!

  5. side streets -any really!

i.e. a cup of coffee on the main streets will be 3 or 4 times as expensive than you can get on side streets and probably not as nice! just explore the place, its more exiting! have a great time!!

  6. Try around the Latin quarter maybe!  I haven't been to Paris in a while so I can't really remember... Try Rue de Rivoli too.  And maybe Chatelet?
