i want the causes & effects of cyclones. causes & effects should be separate.

  2. A cyclone is the general term given to any convective low pressure. Those happen mostly in two regions:

    1) The equatorial belt. Simply because it is hot there and hot air rises, decreasing the pressure.

    2) The front between polar air and temperate air in both hemispheres.

    The effect is that, by rising, the humidity in the air condenses as clouds and rain or snow.

    Note that in a layman's understanding cyclones are the term used for south-east Asian storms. But not for meteorologists who differ between cyclonic systems (low pressures) and anti-cyclonic sytems (high pressures).
