What are the causes that lead Russia and Georgia to go to war

I've just been watching the news that both are at war, but haven't heard any reason. Does someone have an idea why? Do their problems go way back?

Georgia government wants to control abkhazia and south Osetia which were in violence .Those area already stated their independence and Georgia is against them. Russia is behind this conflict and after rising tension Georgia sent troops to control those area and Russia responded by crossing boarders and confront Georgian troops.

5 days ago russian forces open the curtain for show some straight to western countries and local government's. they defeat georgian army at southern ossetia area, without trouble.

But today someting change.

Operation was start with a "reason" save the innocent civilians, save the ossetians land. But they ( russians ) cross the lines and they keep invade georgians ground without any logical reason.

Why? Someone loose the control at russian land forces? maybe .. someone who living beyond the walls of Kremlin doesn't decide about stop .. yet .. maybe .. but fact is simple.

There is no innocent civilian ossetians at there ; and russian army invade the georgians land with firepower. Only innocent georgians u can found that area, childs, olders, womens, mans but georgians .. not ossetians.

At this point we reach the beyond of the power show, russian forces threat the pipelines ( petrolium & natural gas ) and main trade routes and they kill many innocents.

Also they prefer reject the chease fire agreement , they prefer gain more land from georgia but they forgot someting, someting very important.

Georgia a independent country who member of united nations, georgia had international agreement with some countries like mine, like U.S, If georgians ask help agains russian invaders .. our answer shout be YES, we can't erase our signature, as u know .. deal is deal.

I don't wanna say someting about after this point. Not now. Hope someone who still can able stops the russian forces at georgian terratory before someting happen. ( bad )

Georgia called for a ceasefire on Saturday after Russian bombers widened an offensive to force back Georgian troops seeking control over the breakaway region of South Ossetia.

The call seemed to fall on deaf ears, with Russia's leaders saying Moscow's actions were legitimate and that the only way to end the conflict was for Georgia to pull back from the region.

Russia said it had seized the rebel capital, Tskhinvali, but Georgia denied the claim on the second day of fighting that also threatens oil and gas pipelines seen as crucial in the West.

Russian officials said the death toll now stood at 2,000 and 30,000 refugees from South Ossetia had fled over the border to Russia over the past 36 hours.

Russia invaded not after being attacked, but after organizing Great provocation. It has been planned long before, they have chosen Olympiad time. Demanded form separatists to open fire into Georgian villages in the S. Ossetia and after response used it for invading Georgia. they want to punish Georgia for being pro western and for ambitions to become NATO and EU member, Russian bear has awaken and is trying to save post soviet influence. next will be the Ukraine and Azerbaijan...
