  1. I live in Englewood, and I have been here for 3 years from Jamaica, we haven't had a tornado in the central region for quite a while, so the chances are pretty slim. Its pouring like h**l down here and Sirens are going off every 10 minutes, just keep watching  and waiting until about 3:30 am, sleep downstairs, cause Mother Nature is unpredictable.

  2. Looking at the radar for Columbus Ohio, there is only light rain, but for surrounding places it is harder. So if you are on the outside there is not the biggest chance. Smaller than 50%.

  3. There are several steps in the formation of a tornado. They have to all be present and occur in the prescribed order for a funnel cloud to form and then a tornado to come out of that and touch down. It follows a model that can be generated on a computer and that is consistent every time one of these storms happens. I

The weather forecasters are telling you the steps they are seeing based on that whole weather process visible on the tremendously accurate info they get from Dopplar radar. Prior to Dopplar technology, storm spotting tended to be dependent of someone actually SEEING the funnel cloud or tornado. So Dopplar is your friend, and if you have a chance to take one of those classes that are offered every spring for free in tornado prone areas, you will understand the model and what the Dopplar info means, and you will be able to answer your own question!

    Hope that helps.

  4. Very remote.... even if there is the potential,  odds are still very small..

  5. According to the National Weather Map--I think the storms will stay mostly to the north--after they get to Columbus.  Good Luck
