  1. I hope zero.  I mean, Milton Bradley is having a better year than him.  I know they're diff. types of player, but I think the MVP should go to the best player.  Nobody talks or cares about Milton Bradley because he is crazy and the Rangers are losers.  People seem to love Dustin Pedroia because he is so full of scrappiness and grit, ugh.

    Milton Bradley in 111 Games: .324 AVG/.445 OBP/1.027 OPS

    Dustin Pedroia in 134 Games: .327 AVG/.374 OBP/.863 OPS

[I'm not saying Pedroia sucks, he's just not that great that he deserves the MVP]

I would give the MVP to:

    1. Carlos Quentin CWS

    2. Justin Morneau MN

    3. Joe Mauer MN

    4. Josh Hamilton TEX

    5. Grady Sizemore CLE--because deserves to be mentioned, even if the Indians are having a bad year.

    6. Carlos Pena RAYS--like Sizemore and Bradley, he also deserves to be mentioned before Dustin Pedroia.

If Manny Ramirez was still on the Red Sox he would so get it though.

  2. slim to none.  he doesnt have the power numbers of your typical MVP.

although 75 ribbies and 108 runs isnt bad for someone who led off or batted second most of the year.

hamilton or quentin will probably win it.

  3. Pretty high or hamilton probably going to win it

  4. Not that good he might win the batting title though although Mauer is catching up on them,

If the Twins make the playoffs it will be Morneau.

  5. i heard 37%

  6. There;s a small chance that Dustin will win the MVP award. Carlos Quentin and Morneau are probably the top candidates.

  7. I'd say slim, but I'm sure him having a great September will but him on top.

  8. Keeps it up he will get it

  9. Josh Hamilton should win it even though Texas will again fail to make postseason, they wouldn't even be sniffing it without Hamilton, if he wasn't there we would be mentioning them with the Pirates and Royals as doormats.

  10. well just watched another 3 for 5 performance by the little man. 1st in hits in the majors, 1st in average in the AL. as of todays game is hitting .333 with 17 home runs and 76 RBIs. I seriously think that if he gets 20 home runs and 100 RBIs and his average stays above 320ish, that he will win. and he has a great chance to get 24 more rbis considering he's been hitting 4th the last couple games!! the only thing he slacks in is homeruns, but the mvp isnt supposed to be given to the player with the most HR's. I think that if you cant decide between pedroia or quentin or someone else, pretend u were a pitcher, and ask ur self which hitter you would want to face the least right now. and hes also sick at defense, only 6 errors, and he might win the gold glove award depending on how mark ellis does the rest of the season

Oh, and to the guy who said bradley and carlos pena should be mentioned b4 pedroia is a f*cking r****d. pena is hitting .249 and milton is hitting like only 5 points lower than pedroia BUT HE HAS MORE THAN 200 LESS AT BATS THAN PEDROIA. seriously guy, do some research cause you sound nuts right now

  11. No chance, he is a good player but Carlos Quentin, Or Josh Hamilton will win it, I think Carlos Pena should also be in the discussion.

  12. Justin Morneau, Carlos Quentin, and Josh Hamilton are all his competitors. Their stats can easily be found on the Y!A Sports, ESPN, and MLB websites.

I think that if Dusty doesn't win it, Quentin will. Dusty has racked up 4 RBI's tonight, and just his his 7th or so HR in August, so I'm really pulling for him. With Youk, Drew, and Lowell all out of the lineup lately, and with Beckett hurt, we've really needed to pick up our offense. And who but Pedroia has been dominating lately.
