Have you ever heard or seen anyone that got accepted to med school with a 2.9 GPA and what Med school did he/she get accepted to?(only med schools in the U.S) Seriously I am in a big whole, I still got three years left to boost my GPA up but I don't know? Does hope still linger on? Thank you in advance!

  1. 3 years....you have tons of time. I goofed off my first year and ended with a 2 on 30 hours, after this past year ive already gotten up to a 2.8. In the next year i reckon i could get it up to a 3.1-3.2 and will probably finish off with a 3.3 or so. My science GPA is like a 3.7 though, thankfully i didnt take any science classes my first year. I have not lost hope, however, because i know i will do well on my MCAT, and i know im doing what i can to make it up.

  2. With 3 years left, you still have hope.  Just get it up to 3.2. or better, and do well on the MCAT, and get great letters of recommendation, and have a flawless interview, etc., and you can still become a doc.  Med schools look at more than just the GPA, but the GPA is still important.
