What are the chances can the American Team bagged the gold medal in Basketball this 08 Summer Olympics?

i think they can easily go undefeated

and win it all

They are far from bagging it.  Spain, Greece, Argentina, Germany, and a fired up Chinese team who they begin Olympic play against are those hurdles and any of these teams can or has beaten the US.  Not to mention that we have choked or flat out didn't show up since 2002 in every FIBA world competition.  

The US women's team however have pretty much bagged it, as long as they don't choke to the Russians or the Aussies.

They have a better chance this time but Olympic basketball will be very competitive. The only thing that could beat them is their own ego.
