  1. There's no way to know this for sure. Due to the PCOS you probably don't ovulate regularly, but that doesn't mean you don't ovulate at all. You'd have to chart your temps to see if you are ovulating occasionally or not at all.

That being said, if you don't want to get pregnant, you should be on birth control. The pill can help control your symptoms, and it is still possible to get pregnant if you're not using birth control.

  2. At least take the med metformin (that is not a fertility drug, that is just to control insulin levels - used in diabetes). That will significantly help and you can probably conceive without any other medical intervention (clomid, etc.)

The chances for a normal healthy couple to conceive is only like 20% each month if everything is timed perfectly. If you are ovulating every other month (which is common in PCOS), it maybe something like 10% for you. 28-38 days means that you are probably ovulating once in a while versus not at all.

    Good luck.

  3. im in the same boat ,i pray 4 u dear

  4. If they suggest metformin you should definately try it, they may even suggest you take it for a few months after you get pregnant to reduce the chance of miscarriage. I was only on metformin when I got pregnant, I also have PCOS. Loosing weight is also suppose to help.

  5. Im not sure but i recently found out i have pcos, ive been ttc for 18 months now, just wanted to wish you the best of luck! Im on metformin, been on it for about 2 weeks now, so im praying that this works, ive heard some ppl conceive just by taking it? its suppose to regulate your periods, so that hopefully you'll be more likely to ovulate
