Manny Ramirez claimed to be happy in Los Angeles and that it isn't about the money anymore but with an agent like Scott Boras, will the Dodgers be brave enough to sign him on a long-term contract?

  1. 75 percent. Considering how much they paid Andruw they are definitely willing to throw away money.

  2. No. First off you have to look at who's the manager Joe Torre an ex yankee. So first of it has to be hard having a guy on your team that did so much damage to you. Secondly Scott Boras is a money hungry guy, and the dodgers dont have the money to sign a contract that manny is going to be asking for, they have andruw jones who is HORRIBLE. Manny will become a yankee or a met next year. If he becomes a yank he will most likely be the full time DH.

  3. WHO'S MANNY RAMIREZ ?

  4. Manny will be lovin' Dodger Blue the rest of his career! Torre will straighten him up with a haircut, no dredlocks, beard, etc.. and he will be the 2009 NL MVP with 46 HRs and 137 RBIs.

  5. yes, manny's like the laker's kobe now. LA won't give him up

  6. I honestly think so because he is a good team player and won't play any different no matter the team. But he is getting older so who knows.

  7. I definitely think the dodgers will try to keep him until he retires.  I have already been to a Dodgers game and watched him play live.  You should hear how excited and loud the crowed gets when he come out to bat....especially when he hit that first home run, it was amazing.  Since Manny has been playing with the Dodgers I have noticed a significant difference with the entire team.  It's like he has brought their team spirit up and I don't think that they are going to let him walk away.

  8. I doubt that the Dodgers will want to give him a long term, high money contract. I would not even be surprised if he left after this season. But then again he is getting up there in years and with his attitude not that many teams would want to spend millions on him.

  9. l believe he'll stay with the Dodgers.

  10. Mark my words.  He'll be a Yankee next year.  I'm not a Dodger, Yankee, nor a Red Sox fan.

  11. Slim to none...I think he will wind up with the Mets next season...I don't think the Dodgers will want to pay him the $25 million/yr. that Manny is looking for.

To Travis...please tell me you were joking when you said Manny was a good team player...I love Manny and I appreciate everything he did for the Sox but he only thinks about one thing when he plays...himself.

  12. i see him being there for maybe until he retires, which will be in 3-5 seasons

  13. At 36, he'll be looking for his last big contract, and with Boras, he knows he can get it somewhere. The Dodgers and Boras DO NOT GET ALONG, so it will be an uphill battle for them to re-sign him, but if ever the Dodgers needed to work with Boras to get a contract done, this is it. Plus, Ned Colletti is on the hot seat, if the Dodgers don't win this year, combined with giving up top young talent and NOT resigning Manny, he could be out.

  14. I think he will stay in L.A in fact he said he would
