  1. Two hopes:

    Bob Hope and no hope

  2. Who stole my teddy bear head? If the British will give N.Ireland back to the Irish and apologize for causing 800 years of fighting and all english loyalist be back to England then chances are will have 100% United Ireland.. But I dont think the Queen will give back my teddys head .

  3. There was talk about a population shift in Northern Ireland over the next 20 years when the now Catholic minority would number more than the now Protestant majority.  When this does happen a referendum would be held and the people would be asked do you wish to have a United Ireland or do you wish to keep things the way they are.  Even if there was a population shift with an increase in the Catholic community, it may still be blocked my middle class Catholics who have done very well out of remaining with Britain.  They want to keep their lifestyles and would be unsure as to what might happen to them if they joined a United Ireland.  And the Protestants and Loyalists won't going anywhere in great numbers, some will leave but I feel the majority will stay.

  4. Not in my lifetime, that's for sure. Ay ay, matey!!!

  5. It won't happen.

The British can't give back the North because to do so could appear to legitimise terrorist actions. I honestly do not believe that every member of any republication group would just be quiet, they'd be accepting all the credit for it.

Plus, once it does happen it won't be Catholics fighting for a United Ireland, but Protestants fight for a return to British rule. It's basically two faced coin. No matter what side lands, the result is the same.

  6. I doubt it even would happen.

  7. HI YOU

I LIKE YOUR QUESTION BUT I CANT SEE IT HAPPENING IN MY LIFE TIME IT WILL TAKE A GOOD NUMBER OF YEARS JUST TO GET BOTH SIDES TO FULLY TRUST EACH OTHER AND  LIVE AS ONE AS THERE WAS A LOT OF HATE IN SOME PARTS

  8. I don't think it will happen, certainly not in my lifetime and I'm not that old. We're finally achieving some sort of peace and it would be tragic to see it threatened by a bunch of stubborn ideologues. The main reason why I remain in favour of E.U. membership is because it makes national boundaries irrelevant. If we can cross into another country without the need for a passport, a visa or, in most cases, a different currency, then is it really any different to crossing a county line? If all that separates us from our neighbours is a couple of tax points, a different local authority emptying our bins and a few cultural quirks, then we'll have very little to argue about. It might be boring, but it's a h**l of a lot better than having regular reruns of the Omagh tragedy (which btw, was the event that served to remove every shred of nationalism from my soul). I would much rather never see a united Ireland than have one more person lose their life for a pointless cause.

  9. it wouldn't a lot in the north want to be part of britain the south is independent of britain.

  10. none to less than none- too much to bury, too many differences

*nendlin- your answer is a run on sentence and is confusing- does not make sense

  11. there is a very real chance it will happen in the next 20 years or so.

i mean , who would have said ,10 years ago, when the I R A  was bombing england etc, that in 2008 , martin mc guiness of sein fein i.e I RA  would be joint leader of the north of ireland ?

do you think this is sein fein s final plan ?

         NO WAY.

IT IS ONLY ONE STEP CLOSER TOWARDS A UNITED IRELAND.

  12. It won't happen. Neither North or South actually want it.

Ladybug: What the h**l are you on about. 800 years? The Old English were actually liked by the Gaelic Irish. The Irish fought for the King in the British Civil War for crying out loud. Learn your history.
