  1. it will not happen even roger lose in the first round..

  2. It is mathematically impossible for Federer to lose his #1 ranking as a result of the French Open.  His lead over Rafa in the rankings is 1090 points, which means Federer could lose in the first round and even if Rafa were to win the title again, he would still trail Federer in the rankings, although in that worse-case scenario the margin between them would be cut significantly.

  3. no, he is not going to lose it. he has lots of points to cover even if he loses in the first round. and because he will be at the finals this year, possibly against rafa again, and please count out djokovic, there is no way he will be dethroned. but the king is fast losing it if he can't clean up his mess or his mono

  4. There's no chance because Nadal won the French last year so he's defending his 1000 points and cannot gain anymore points even if he won the French this year. If Federer were to lose in let's say the first round, he'd probably lose 700-and-something points, but Fed's lead over Rafa is in the 1000's so even if Fed lost in the french Rafa will still remain number 2. Now if Rafa were to win Wimbeldon I don't know if necessarily he would become number 1 because though Federer must defend his 1000 points and it depends, if he were to lose, what round he exits at Wimbeldon. It also depends if Federer gains more points in the tournaments in between wimbeldon and the french. Honestly we'd have to wait until the hard court season starts to really answer this question. But I'm not worried anyway because Federer is winning the remaining grandslams and he's not losing his number 1 ranking ;)

  5. not in a million years.

  6. I dont think he would, however it`ll be interesting to see how he copes in the first few rounds. I reckon he could lose at Roland Garros and not make the final. 0o0o0o :P

    Vamos Rafa x*x

  7. He mathematically can't lose his ranking at the French -- therefore the answer to your question is a 0% chance.  Even if he loses in the first round, Rafa and Novak have so many points to defend that they will not make up very much ground [ Rafa has to win, and Novak has to at least make the finals ].  However, if Roger did lose in the first round, then Roger would lose a lot of points... I'm not sure of the exact total but I think it would be around 750, which would bring Rafa and Novak a lot closer to him after the French is over.

  8. It is mathematically impossible for Nadal to take over #1 after the French Open. Federer leads by 1090. If Nadal wins and Federer gets knocked out first round, then Nadal will cut the lead  by 700. That won't be enough.

It is possible for him to do it by Wimbledon, but more likely if Nadal is going to take over number one, it will be in the hard court season. Here Nadal sucked last year, and Federer has a lot of points to defend.

  9. He's not going to lose his No. 1 rank even if he lost in the first round of Roland Garros. That is because he is 1090 points ahead of the current No. 2 Rafael Nadal. The maximum number of points that could be deducted from Federer's ranking points are 700. While the maximum number of points that could be earned by Nadal is 0 since he won it last year. So there won't be much change in the top three unless Nadal is unable to defend his title.

  10. Highly unlikely he will lose it or can lose it at The French. One reason being, Nadal his closest opponent, is defending a bunch of points from winning The French last season, so he cant gain ground. Roger can only lose some points by not reaching the final, but not enough to dismantle him from the top spot. Djokovic can earn points by gettign to final, winning even, but not enough to top Federer. Not yet. No, if Federer is going to lose his ranking its going to come by end of season, after summer/hard court season and Masters Series finals, and to the likes of more than likely Nadal and Novak. No other player can top these 3 unless this one player wins French, US Open and the remaining Masters Series events. They are just too far behind. This year it is a 3 man race to the top spot. Only thing that hurt Nadal was when he had the blisters on his foot and pulled out and lost a bunch of points, otherwise, would be closer then it appears.

  11. It won't happen at the French, but watchout for Wimbledon.  If Nadal keeps his pace and plays well in England, he could be number one come the US OPEN.

  12. its not going ot happen
