  1. I seriously love Machida, and admire his fighting style. I'm also a huge fan of Forrest, Wanderlei, aMnd Liddell (d**n most of my favorite fighters sit at 205) so its hard for me to root for anyone more than the other but honestly I think Machida with the way he fights has a chance at taking almost anyone out. Rampage vs Machida would be an amazing matchup, the counterfighter vs the puncher. Technique against pure power. Its obvious Machida doesn't have the jaw that any of these other 205 fighters have but he's elusive, impossible to catch, and attacks at any possible angle. Sorry if I'm rambling but I see so much Machida hatred I just can't understand why they would talk down such a skilled fighter.

  2. Liddell vs Shogun won't happen.  If Chuck beats Evans, he will get the next shot at the title after the Rampage/Forrest rematch.  Forrest will rematch with Rampage before either of them fight anyone else.  Wanderlei v. Shogun would be interesting but I'm not sure it could happen.  Didn't they train together for years at Chutebox?  Unfortunately for Machida, he has no name recognition, no charisma and a boring fighting style.  In a stacked 205 division, all of this equals no title shot for a very long time.  He could get the loser of Rampage/Forrest 2.

  3. Any of those matches will be awesome.  Honestly, the winner of Liddell / Evens should get Forrest.  Rampage / Machaida is very possible.  Then knowing Joe Silva, he'll probably put some dumb match like Shogun vs Kieth Jardine together.

  4. All are possible. I think if Chuck gets passed Evans he'll get a shot at the title. I also think they will rematch Rampage with either Shogun or Wanderlei. I'm not sure he'll Machida will fight next. His style is different and I dont think the UFC wants to see one of their top stars get out-pointed in a three round bore fest with Lyoto Machida. I also think Anderson Silva factors in here too. Anderson vs. Machida would be a great fight but they would want Anderson to fight someone with more name recognition. Anderson vs. Chuck would be epic, and is a real possibility if Chuck loses to Evans. If Evans beats Chuck they could have Evans fight Machida in a undefeated number one contenders match.

  5. Forrest vs Wanderlei: Not going to happen. It's too soon. He'd destroy Forrest. Wandy will fight Rampage first.

I also think that Shogun and Machida will fight.

The winner of that match will get the winner of Liddell vs. Evans.

No matter what happens, I think that Forrest will not be champ by this time next year.

  6. I have to agree with most of these guys who ever wins the Evans Vs Liddell will go for the next title shot, and I believe Rampage (My favorite fighter) will either have a rematch with Wanderlei or Shogun. Which I think this time around if Rampage faces Wanderlei (who I'm also a big fan of) would win. Alot of people noticed a small decline when Wanderlei left Pride.

  7. I think Forrest's first title defense will be against Rashad Evans (if he beats Chuck Liddell convincingly in September) or against Lyoto Machida (if he wins his next fight and Rashad Evans loses).  There is also the possibility that Rampage gets an immediate rematch if both Machida and Evans are losers or do not impress enough, or if Liddell just destroys Evans, then he might get the nod.

To the best of my knowledge, Machida's next fight is not scheduled.
