Question:

What are the chances of a child inheriting the eye color of one parent, but the eye shape of the other?

Is it possible/likely that a child could inherit the eye color of one parent but the eye shape of the other?

For example, I have almond-shaped black eyes, and my fiance has round green eyes. We were joking last night about how we'd want our children to have his green eyes, but my almond shape.

Is this possible/likely?

Thanks. :)

  1. Anything is possible. The baby may have your build and his facial structure. Does it matter as long as it's yours and healthy?

  2. I'm a fairly good scientist i wont explain how i figrued/thought it out but ill tell you the answer.

im not 100% sure sooo, dont get upset :P

there are  certain genes in colours and in facial.

however, the male facial and also arm genes (dont know why just do) usually take over/control over the female gene of the same type.

so im guessing that should you have a child, dependant on the gender male or female of the child, if it is a boy it will have almond shaped and green/dark green eyes.

if a gal, she would have either green eyes/your colour eyes and probally will have round eyes like your fiance,

One last thing,,,, Congratulations on finding someone you'd live the rest of your life with.

  3. Your child is more likely to have both your eye color and eye shape because those are more dominant traits.
