What are the chances of an inexperienced male and female dog mating??

I have 2 dogs that are inexperienced in the whole mating thing they are both purebred and been health checked. The male is mounting her and she lets him is just that they haven't locked together yet. Is there any way I could help them???

can the loonies please leave this person alone....those animas are in the shelters because they are unwanted ....americans want purebred pups...not shelter dogs...and every breeder..like every dog is inexperienced at some point.....best you can do is as he mounts her have someone help you position the b***h so that he is aligned correctly, and gently guide his p***s to the target...a dab of KY often helps...once he has tied once or twice...you will not need to help him again
