  1. same as anywhere else. i live in florida, and an hour away its the lightning capital of the world. i have a one story house and we got hit 4 times by lightning, twice by tornado, a sinkhole, and various hurricanes. our house has lasted 16 years through all of this. just cuz its high doesnt raise its chances cuz i know 3 story houses that havent been hit ever before. and buildings in tampa and stuff. if your building has lightning rods at the top (little metal sticks) then its more likely to hit the building but it takes it to the ground, so the building is never effected and you cant ever tell it was hit.
