I started community college with bad start because I didn't take it seriously and I was slacking. I have slowly brought my GPA back up & now I'm in good standing. Since I slacked in the beginning, does that hurt my chances of getting into a good university? I would like to attend an out of state university.

  1. The school will see that you improved and that will help..but it depends on what credits you will be trying to transfer. The University will check and see if they are transferable and if they are, they will make a judgment if the grades are good enough to take a higher level class in that subject. They might make you take a test to prove that you can perform at the higher level.
