What are the chances of going to alcatraz without reservations?

I have been several times and trust me you need reservations.  There are several companies that do the tours.  I have booked only a day in advance and gotten tickets however they did sell out by the next morning so I would at least make them a day in advance if not more!  They are always booked solid during the summer.  Here are some links to help you on your search.

Very slim... you really need reservations.  I couldn't visit there the first time I went out there because we didn't have reservations.
