What are the chances of me encountering a Hurricane when im going to Cancun Mexico on August 13th?

It is right in the middle of hurricane season but a lot of people consider it worth the risk because of fewer crowds and lower prices.

It is the season, but realize at Cancun, you are at the far western reaches of a hurricane and will have pretty fair warning before it hits.   It is rare  although it does happen, for one to form in the Gulf of Mexico and hit either cancun or reverse into Florida.   Most start out in the Eastern Caribbean (due to tidal flow and air streams) and move west.

   You should be fine.
