I got a good amount of money in financial aid for college last year, but Im worried that I will get jipped out this year because of a good amount of money I recieved and filed in my taxes. Are financial aid packages just rolled over or do they really fill out every one intently?

By the way, my school costs ~23,000 a year and I recieved ~8,000 in scholorships and grants. This year my EFC is 3897.

  1. That depends on the school and the number of applicants.

I would encourage you to apply for additional ones....

  2. yeah it depends on how your EFC has changed. it also depends on how early you filed your FAFSA, and your school. you can always call or meet with a finaid advisor at your school and see what other options you have.

  3. I don't know, but ouch 23,000 a year I do hope you get all that you need and more

  4. If you didn't file last year but did this year or if there was a big change in the amount of money you made then yes your financial aid will change. It doesn't roll over, they check everyone carefully. This is the government remember? They aren't going to give out more money then they need to. =)
