What are the chances of my cat surviving?

Question

I took him to the vet tues because he wasnt' peeing. He has blockage and irritation. They dont know what caused it. Its not stones or crystals. They had muscle relaxers and antiflamatory meds, and a catheder for the last three days,...he is still the same...the bill is over $1,000.00. THey say he hsould be responding by now and peeing on his own....has anyone has experience with this...can they get better even thought it has taken this long already?

the chances are slim to none. Just pray and pay the bill if you really want him to get better.

from personal experience, goji berries or goji berry juice helps animals alot when they need it, i use it everytime my dog gets sick, and shes not sick anymore, its a powerful fruit and i suggest you use it, even as a last resort if you dont really think itll work, at least give it a try, you can make your own goji berry juice with 1/3 cup of goji berries and the other 2/3 of water and blend it. if the berries are dried, its preferred to soak them over night or for 1 hour and them blend it, i hope the best for your cat, and that he is ok, goodluck with everything

Sorry, BABY!  I have lost 3 cats with the same thing.  The vet knows there is not chance, but he tells you he might be able to save your cat.  This is stealing your money.  The vet knows the moment he looks at your cat.  There is not a chance in h**l that the cat will live.  But he tells you he is going to save your cat, and evey day adds another procedure and more $$$.

I did the same thing when my cats come down with this.  I told the vet to do everything he could.  But after about $1,200 dollars he called me and said my cat died.  

For all I know the cat could have been dead for days.  

I have researched this and even made formal complaints to the State Of Michigan.  There was a formal investigation on this.  The State of Michigan has no law about how a vet practices.  In Michigan a vet is not responsible for the death of an animal, no matter how negligent they are.

I know for a fact that your vet knew there was not chance to save your cat.  They just pretended to steal your money.

I am very sorry for your loss.  I still cry when I think of the friends I have lost.  But I know what's going on, having been through it 3 times.

I really watch my cats diet.  Being very careful of what they eat.

A neutered male has the greatest chance of getting a urinary infection and dying.  

I am so sorry.  I will say a prayer for you.  Sorry, BABY!

Oh Skylar, I'm so sorry to hear about your cat! I'm a cat lover as well. They say Cats have 9 lives. Maybe this is one of those lives... Let's hope so!

  when it comes to our pets and the animals we love... expense should not be the issue... if you feel he has not been making much progress.. contact the vet for his suggestion.. let him know you are having finacial problems but still want to do whats best for the cat...
