What are the chances of my chinchilla getting pregnant if i have a boy and a girl in the same cage?

I know they are both old enough to mate. I just want to know how good the chances are of my female getting pregnant. Thanks!

Pretty high! I should know. I got a happy surprise  yesterday with the birth of twins from my girl.

If you don't want the babies, I would recommend getting another cage for one of them as soon as possible... But still watch the girl. She may be pregnant already. It can be hard to tell if a Chin is pregnant sometimes. I had no clue at all.
