  1. It is easier for George W. Bush to visit  Iraq without bodygaurds, than for you to be attack by sharks in Montego Bay.

Sharks don't like Jamaica, there's too much reggae music dancing, partying, fun giving entertainments, no peace and quietness for them to creep up on you. They prefer avoiding the caribbean, too much vibes, for real, trust me.

  2. Zero if you stay out of the water.  You have a better chance of getting a skin infection then shark attack.

  3. There are sharks in jamaica....AND in the waters off jamaica. Contrary to what everyone has said, the reef DOES NOT keep sharks out, in fact, there are REEF sharks...ran into one diving a few years ago...50 feet off shore. Have seen a few others like tiger sharks which are VERY aggressive, but they are not in abundance & prefer fish to people.

Be worried about sting rays like the one that killed Steve Irwin, they are everywhere, as are barracudas, eels, and jellyfish...only the latter being docile. But it is trully GREAT diving away from Montego Bay, as its too polluted there

  4. Sharks are not very rampant in Caribbean waters... if they are they are not anywhere near the beaches. They are waaaaaaay out asea.

  5. none never herad of any

  6. Never heard of any.

  7. I have never heard of any fatal shark attacks in Jamaican waters. The few that i can vaguely recall, saw fishermen or other people swimming in deep waters, basically AT SEA rather than at or near a local beach.

  8. Nil..the coral reefs surrounding Jamaica keeps the sharks out. You would much rather die from drowning if you can't swim than being a shark's meal

  9. The chances are very low.

  10. One in a million...It's not like florida the reefs keep the sharks out...but of course there's always the possibly of anything happening but this one is a rare case.

    Safe to dive in...Have Fun
