What are the chances of something being missed during a level 2 Ultrasound?

I have a repeat level 2 ultrasound this Friday due to a Choroid Plexus Cyst that was found during my 20 week u/s on the 18th. It is being done at another Hospital, Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, which has a more specialized facility. There were no other anomalies found during the last level 2, but my practical side has completely abandoned me and I am terrified they are going to find a soft marker that may have been missed the first time. What are the chances of that happening?

  1. It really depends on the technician and doctor reading the scan. I had several high level ultrasounds during my first pregnancy. My daughter had what they thought was a pelvic kidney, then they said it wasn't, then they said it was, when she was born they did a scan and sure enough, she had a pelvic kidney.
