50/50 a lot of times, the murderer won't be able to see some of the witnesses, or any. If they do see one close enough, they might opt to killing them.

I guess it could be in a high chance unless the murderer sees you and will definitely try to end your life. Why?? because they don't want you to tell others like the police. But sometimes, they just get worse that the murderer will threaten your loved ones.
