My friend asked me to go with her to planned parenthood with her yesterday and she didn't say why she was going but when we got there she said she needed the morning after pill.

She told me that she had s*x Sunday with her new boyfriend and he took off the condom with out her knowing and finished inside of her. I asked her where she was at in her cycle and she said she had her period 2 weeks ago, so when she had s*x she was smack dab right when she should of ovulated.

She didn't take the morning after pill till tuesday night and the s*x was Sunday afternoon. I know that the pill doesn't work if the sperm already met the egg. What are the chances she could still be pregnant?

  1. You have 72 hours after unprotected s*x for the morning after pill to be effective.  However, it doesn't always work.  7 out of 8 women who use plan b will not become pregnant.  See the following website for more information if needed.

  2. My friend is 5 months pregnant and she took the morning after pill that next day!  Obviously...it did not work.

  3. I thought it kept the embryo from implanting.  I think it can take up to 72 hours for sperm to find egg.

  4. basically, if you have s*x you can get pregnant.  what is so hard

to understand about that.  anything you use is just a deterrent

    not a sure stop.

  5. Be ready for all possibilities. Bet your friend will be more careful next time

  6. The Plan B pill WILL NOT stop implantation. It stops fertilization. Other pills are used as abortificients, but not the plan B pill. It uses only one hormone, progesterone, where as other pills use a combination of hormones. It is a contraceptive, not an abortificient. In which case it will work in period of 72 hours ASSUMING she took the pill as the directions said. If she was already pregnant, no it will not work.

  7. If it happened at all the chances of getting pregnant are always as high as the first time you have s*x....to the last time...it does not matter even with protection that is not always 100% effective..it helps but is not always going to work for everyone.

  8. the chances are: who cares?
