What are the chances that during a massage, my towel would accidentally fall off?

I was at a certified spa. I have been to see this therapist a few times before. nothing like this has happened before with her. I was on my stomach and she was working on my hamstrings. The towel covering me as far as I know just slid off. She did not say anything when it happened, nor did she put it back. I did not say anything either at first, she just continued to work on my legs. I did not want to act shocked or anything, and perhaps she was hesitant at first waiting to see what my reaction would be (would I be upset or what). Eventually (couple minutes maybe), she said, "the towel fell off." No sorry... just matter of factly. I then said, "That is ok. It's no biggie. That can easily happen. If you could just put it back on, that would be more comfortable for me." And she did. As I said, I am becoming a regular of hers. Should I be concerned that I offended her by not saying anything about it right away? Should I be concerned that she did not say or do anything about it right away?

Actually I have done countless massages and I have never had anything fall off. I use a sheet and 99% of my massage is done completely naked. The butt crack and the chest is covered at all times. I practice modest draping so the client and I can both feel safe and comfortable at all times. If you like that therapist she knows how you feel now, but you should be able to relax through the entire massage. Good luck!

I guess I would think it is a little weird, but I am sure it happens quite often.  I live in Texas and there is this Spa that all Asian women work at and after they are done with your massage, they ask "would you like me to suck your wee wee!"  A friend of my boyfriend has been there 3 times, 2 times he got a hand/******** and the other time had s*x with the girl....sounds more like prostitution and I no longer like his friend for being sooo desperate/disgusting

Towels are very unlikely to fall off on a regular basis. Massages therapists appear to be very nimble at turning you over or working on you, whilst covering you with a towel.

The best massage I have ever had was when I was totally naked. I had a Ku Huna Massage and they said it would be more beneficial to be naked, so they could do long sweeping movements with their hands without under garments getting in the way.

At first I was a bit embarrassed but it turned out to be the best experience I have ever had in a massage.

I would love to experience that same freedom again but I have never come across another massage therapist who has agreed.

My current massage therapist doesn’t even like me being naked under the towel; she insists that I wear knickers.

No-one should be concerned or offended by such a little incident – just forget about it.

My advice would be just laugh it off...things happen. She IS a professional so I'm sure she's over it...no biggie! Now just if you can get past it and chalk it up to circumstance, well then, things should sail smoothly along in the professional relationship...

If Im correct, spa therapist are supposed to concentrate on the costumer, but thats a bit disturbing. Maybe you should bring it up with the staff members.

I can't imagine a certified spa only using  towel for cover.  It sounds unprofessional to me.

It is better to use sheets.  There isn't any chance of one falling off.

I would talk to her about it before continuing and ask if you can be covered with a sheet or something more substantial.

Talk to her and/or the management about it if you aren't getting anywhere with it.  Don't hesitate in being direct.  It is your massage and you are paying good money for it.  You have the right to privacy and professional behavior.  If they don't respond appropriately it is ok to find another therapist or complain to the owners or whoever.
