  1. Try looking at these websites they will do wonders for you. www.deffaudio.com and www.onlinecarstereo.com. They show many brands, many prices, and many opinions from buyers that let you know what is up. The only thing that I will say is you get what you pay for, and I don't want you to learn that the hard way. I got lucky on getting two 12" MTX 7500's for $260 when they MSRP at around $250 each.

  2. Sony Xplod- you can buy them at walmart for pretty cheap- they sonded great in my last car. I had 2 12" with a 1000w amp and it bumped.

  3. Audiopipe-

  4. well, here's the thing.. If you already have a enclosure the sub that will pound the hardest is the sub that has specs that closly match that enclosure. See you could put in a $500 competition SPL 12" sub in there and if the specs are way off, it will not pound. on the other hand even a realatively cheap speaker (<Sub 100) can sound pretty good and handle 250 watts, if it is closely match the the box you have.

If you want the most volume per dollar, here is how i would proceed. i would search a few key websites for any and all subs that are your price range and have specs that match closely. From there look at the one that has the highest effeciency rating, and you should have a very loud booming system. I say system, because a sub is really 2 parts. the drivers and the enclosure, both are very important to acquire the results you want.

i would take a look at this website for some sub selections.

Also i know that the polk db subs are at the price you want and are designed for max output, but again, the enclosure must be a good match.

  5. i for one know that sony xplodes are garbage, stick to the audiobahns spend the money on a mono amp class d
