traditional rainbow colors are - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. But their are actually, a whole continuum of colors from red to violet and beyond that the human eye cannot always see.

They are beautiful to see.

Well some people say it's red orange yellow green blue purple (or violet) while others say it's red orange yellow green blue indigo purple. Some also like to put pink in the rainbow before red. Hope I helped!

all visable electromagnetic wave lengths starting from the longest wave length infrared red going to ultra violet the shortest wave length. correction but in fact we cant see some radiation such as ulta violet and infrared only red to violet.

Shorter radiation wavelengths such as micowaves,x-rays, gamma etc get absorbed in the ionosphere or magnetosphere above the earths atmosphere.

But the sun don't care its just keeps pumping out all this radiation in space because of its fussion reaction furnance fussing hydrogen atoms together to form helium. Thus as the radiation hits different molecules on earth and in the atmophere you get different colors.

Rainbows aka water vapor in the sky will get and reflect/absorb different radiation and through Rayleigh scattering you get different colors that you can see.
