We are running 2 hot wires through insulated off-set brackets on a fence with total length of 1.2km using a 2km solar energiser. We have 3 earth stakes in the ground and attached back to the energiser. The fence is only charging to 3.8-4kv consistant through the length of the fence. There is no undergrowth touching hot wires or cracked insulators. Any thoughts ???

  1. When the shorts fly off the clothes line and hits the electric fence during a T-storm or Tornado.

  2. Not sure on solar. Check directions and make sure solar isn't positive ground maybe? Maybe a bad ground? Dirty ground connector? Just some suggestions

  3. somewhere there is a ground going on.......check the kv with the wire unhooked at the unit and see what u have there first and then remove the wire from the last point of contact and trace the kv backwards.....
