  1. Introduction

  2. I'd say it needs to be taught in terms of real life application and then differentiated to the various learning styles and abilities of the students.

Too many times, the textbook is used for lecture which only reaches one of the three learning modalities- Auditory (leaves out Visual and Kinesthetic).  Then one size is used to fit all students with assessment as well - One test, One set of expectations - when student abilities in one classroom can span up to 5 years, even in the same age grouping!

  3. I'm assuming you mean, "What are the common problems students meet in terms of curriculum" and by curriculum an outline of course study?

I'd say that the individuals teaching spend more time outside of the student's shoes than in them. If an educator would spend time thinking about how his or her approach would meet the needs of students I doubt there would be as many problems in terms of curriculum.
