I filed a petition for my parents to come here in the US. I'm curious, what questions would a consulate usually asks when interviewing parents of a petitioner?

  1. The questions usually revolves around the relationship of parents and the son/daughter petitioning them. The Consular officer will try to find out if there's an existing family relationship between the two parties and also if the petitioning son/daughter is legally/financially able to petition the parents.
