What are the components of wholesome education?

That all depends on what you mean.  If you expect the so called free thinkers there might be emphasis on individuality art, and abstraction.  If you mean the so called book smarts math and sciences.  The best way i think to give kids better education is make more strict rules to get a GED or graduate.  No offense to the disabled but there are handicapped kids that graduated in my HS class who cannot read beyond a middle school level yet they get the same diploma i did.  I think it also starts early.  There needs to be a balance of what is taught from day one of kindergarten. And more kids need to be held back, if they do not meet the standards. But high school where education usually has it greatest effect needs to be more structured. There should be 4 req. years of math and english. I also think that if all high school students were required to take a formal logic class early in high school they would be able to get more out of every future class. It is such a complex question which probably cannot be answered while appealing to everyone. But the most important thing has got to be the desire to learn
