asteroid camper is right. However, I would also add that you will need skills, education and experience that Canada needs. If you are an unskilled worker, sorry, we already have more than enough of those. Also, Canada is currently dealing with close to 1,000,000 applications. As we only accept about 250,000 new immigrants each year, it's easy to see that there is about a 4 year wait. Please look through http://www.cic.gc.ca and read it carefully.
