A con of subsurface mining is that subsurface mining is underground,SO when you dig deep in the ground you could hit and brake a pipe containing water or chemicals.Also you can destroy an animals habitat or home. It is also VERY dangerous to be underground because everything can colapse on you at anytime. Another con about subsurface mining is if the workers become astray (astray:away from the correct path) and keep making the path underground, they could begin to dig under someone's house, cemetary, or a building of almost any kind it could colapse and very sersiously injure the workers in the underground path and any people of any age can get seriously injured. Subsurface mining is the more dangerous type of minign between subsurface and surface mining.
