  1. It would depend on his rank.  An enlisted man might be court marshaled, sentenced to a term in the brig or prison and/or maybe given a Bad conduct discharge.

An officer would get a letter of reprimand.

  2. With prior alchol related offences he has a 50/50 shot of staying in the navy provided he is recommended and he volunteers for alchol rehab.

Drinking on duty is a very serious offence. The Captian will give him the max punishment if he stays in the navy. Max punishment is 45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty, reduction in rank by one pay grade and half pay for 2 months.

If he fails to sucessfully complete alchol rehab, he will definately get an OTH or BCD.

  3. might lose half your wages for a couple months, be put on restrictions, extra duty, aa meetings a whole lot of c**p

  4. 1. Hard to steer an Aircraft Carrier drunk

    2. You could puke on that white uniform

    3. You might have to go to AA meetings on your only day off

    4. You could wake up with a headache in the brig

    5. You might call the Secretary of the Navy and ask him to take a letter

    6. You might be a civilian real soon

  5. in any branch in the military, it is against regulations to be drunk while on duty.

the outcome depends on the individual in charge. it can range from just doing extra work on the weekend, to loss of travel privileges, even loss of rank for a year or more.
