What are the consequences of signing up for ebay underage?

I was wondering what might happen if i signed up for an ebay account. Im currently 17, I have a PayPal account but obviously don't have a credit card. Is it possible to just use a debit card or do you have to have a credit card? I am not sure if i will be selling anything yet but im just interested in buying a certain item for the moment.

As long as you're able to pay, that's pretty much all sellers care about. You can pay through your bank account... you just need to add it to your PayPal account. You may need to go to the bank to get some information to do this (like your account number, transit number, branch number). Then PP will deposit two very small sums of money into your bank account and you'll enter those numbers into your PP account, as verification that it is your account.

I really don't think anything bad will happen and I'm sure you're not the only 17 year-old who uses ebay.
