There are "theories" out there and books about setting the dice and influencing the outcomes. Being a serious Craps player, I can honestly attest that none work really well. My personal best was when I stood at the very end of a table, picked a pair of dice, shook them once and underhand toss them to the opposite side. Consistent throws, like a softball pitcher, that had a small arc and little spin and bounced only once. I did so for 2h23m total 1h59m total throwing time after stoppages for money counts, etc. It also helps to keep the SAME DICE, especially if they're hot for you. Always call out if one jumps over the rail "same dice". Or the dealers will give you new ones to select. It's all in the throw. Go with the style that works best for YOU and never change it.

If you are trying to win at craps, you should line the face-up numbers the same and throw the dice together with the same trajectory and speed. I have a friend that does this and he can roll on a craps table 10-12 times in a row before crapping out.

Hold the dice with your thumb and index finger with any combination of seven as the inside numbers (which face each other). Throw the dice towards the rail at the other end (no matter where you stand) with an arc, and only one bounce before they hit the back rail. You want to do this throw with the same speed, arc and bounce every time. The consistency of that routine helps for longer rolls. It's easy to achieve. After a few hours you will have it down. PS. It is legal to position the dice with any numbers you want facing any way you want. It takes a few seconds, but alot of "shooters" do it. Don't be shy, but try and do it quickly without holding up the game.
