If I take a picture of a kid in Tijuana Mexico, and I want to use that picture on my website, do I need to comply with any image release, or copyright laws in the US if the company I work for is in the US?

  1. Hi Mendez

You can use the pic or any pic on your website as long as it isn't for resale.

Go ahead and don't worry aobut this. So many people make up stories and scares others by saying anything. Copyright infringement involves copying a picture for the purpose of selling it at a profit.

  2. Did you take the picture in a public place?  If you're using it for non-commerical purposes, no release necessary.
