What are the cultural and social differences between the Scottish and the Irish?

both are ancient celtic nations(much older than anlo-saxon-norman England) with strong ties.Robert the Bruce's brother (Edward?)was chosen by the irish sub-kings to be their King while both nations were fighting the English. we have different accents but not much else

England would be worse of than it already is if it was not for Scotland.

Well I'm Scottish and my cousins are Irish and there is no difference. except 2 hours across the water on the ferry.
