I know I can go to Magicthegathering.com, but I'm tired and don't feel like researching it. So what are the Type 2 expansion sets? Are Time Spiral, Lorwyn, AND Shadowmoor the legal sets, or is it just Lorwyn and Shadowmoor?

  1. Ok, Standard is composed by the expansion sets released in the last two years and the current classic edition. Currently that means:

    - Coldsnap

    - Time Spiral

    - Planar Chaos

    - Future Sight

    - Tenth Edition

    - Lorwyn

    - Mornngtide

    - Shadowmoor

---> Also valid for standard are the cards from the box set 'elves Vs. goblins' (which includes old reprints).

When eventide gets released it will also be standard legal. When Shards of Alara gets released, Time Spiral block and Coldsnap will rotate out of standard.

  2. Right now its Coldsnap, Tenth, Time Spiral block, Lorwyn Block and Shadowmoor. Time spiral and coldsnap won't rotate until the set after Eventide is released.
