I was wonder like in terms of how fast you have to run a mile, push ups, pull ups ect. Im 6"1 roughly 225 and do football ( offensive tackle) and wrestling (220-285). Was wondering if i would have any problems with the PT/Running/Strength.

  1. i think that will do or you could do like sixty push ups every day until u join

  2. this tells you everything you need to know about the PFT.

and its not 1 mile... its 3.

your height and weight meet requirements.

  3. The IST (Initial Strength Test) that you have to pass in order to ship is 1 1/2 mile under 13:00, 33 crunches in 2 minutes, and at least 3 deadhang pull-ups.  If you go to boot and you fail any of these things at the IST there, then you get sent to the Physical Conditioning Platoon, and your life turns to h**l.

Also, at 6'1" and 225, you would most likely be put on a diet.  Even if you're in good shape, they would deem you a fatbody, and you would eat half as much as everyone else.

  4. to ship to boot:

    1.5 mile run under 15 minutes(i think)

    crunches for 2 minutes-at least 45 max of 100

    pull ups-must do 1 and a max of 20

once in boot the pft is a 3 mile run. that's the only difference. they start everyone out low so they can build you up together.
