  1. Same dates as Carnival in New Orleans:  www.mardigras.com

    Mardi Gras Day was February 20th this year, but will be February 5th in 2008.  Note that Mardi Gras Day is the LAST day of Carnival.  The day after Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is Ash Wednesday - the beginning of Lent.
