  1. The Feria  de Seville is usually celebrated around Easter as is the Feria de Abril and it is usually a  decorated fairground  and parades of mounted man and women in traditional costume and lots of Flamenco dancing. It is an integral part of Spain and during Easter week there will be religious statues carried through the streets  All in all it is a celebration in which everyone young and old join in. Lots of dancing and drinking.  During the Easter ceremonies men dressed in long robes and wearing tall pointed hoods ( very like the Klu Klux clan) accompany the statues and these men are known as Nazarenos, they belong to a brotherhood that dates back to the 13th century.  Many people would go to Spain just to see same, hence so much on web sites about it.

  3. La Feria de Sevilla (also known locally as Feria de Abril, as it usually falls during that month). The fair is held every year 1 or 2 weeks following Semana Santa (Holy or Easter Week). So as not to interfere with the solemnity of the religious processions. The Feria originated about the late 17th century as a cattle fair. Its current emplacement is new, dating from the 70's, and is on the far side of Los Remedios...before that it was held in the center of the town behind the Plaza de España.
