  1. Indefinite pronouns are words which replace nouns without specifying which noun they replace.  There are two common types:

    (1) Singular indefinite pronouns.  Examples: another, anybody, anyone, anything, each, either, everybody, everyone, everything, little, much, neither, nobody, no one, nothing, one, other, somebody, someone, something.

    (2) Plural indefinite pronouns.  Examples: both, few, many, others, several.

    Some indefinite pronouns can be either singular or plural.  Examples: all, any, more, most, none, some.
