What are the delivery times for First Class?

i want to know the time the royal mail deliver a first class delivery

Postie reply - 97% of all first class letters posted before last collection time at the point of posting are delivered next day.

First Class Packets are the same but is dependent on volume of mail for that particular day and its size.  Size because if its too large for the regular postie it will be sent by van.

It should be next day, but they do offer guaranteed delivery options which cost more.  I find that stuff sometimes takes 2 days to get to the Isle of Wight too.

Usually next day (Not guaranteed) but it depends on where you live. In London it's more likely to be 2 days.

2-3 working days for a first class parcel. next day if delivered before the midday collection time (this varies). also the area you live in might have some bearing on this. bear in mind, it gets collected, sorted, put on a train, sorted again, goes to a sorting office for more... sorting, then sent out by posties and finally delivered. i'd say on the face of it that this is quite reasonable.
