What are the devices needed for connecting a wireless camera with a computer?

for wireless camera connectivity in a computer for recording night hours(8 hours) outside the door, what are the computer configurations required and what are the electronic parts needed other than the camera?

for wireless connectivity....camera should have bluetooth support. For PC side....u can use bluetooth dongle for Computer.

It depends...

Keep in mind that a "wireless" camera still needs power.

In the case of the bluetooth camcorder or camera, they can use a battery - but the batteries will not last for 8 hours.  which means it needs to be plugged in just for power. Also keep in mind that Bluetooth was not designed for use over about 30 feet, generally, line of sight. It is a close-proximity protocol. If you go this route, your computer need to have a Bluetooth transceiver that you can pair the camera with. Most newer Macintoshes have this built-in. Some traditional higher-end Windows machines have built-in bluetooth. Adapters are available if your computer does not have this.

There are a couple of other options...

A networked camera like

has its own IP address on your home network, so if you already use a wireless router, this camera is all you need. The camera requires power - the "wireless" is only the video signal connection.

The base station allows connection to a TV or a video capture card if your computer has one - if not, you could install one... The camera still needs power, so again, not totally wireless.

There are lots more options, but these are the common ones...

It depends what connectivity method is used by the camera. It may be connect via Infrared system, Blue tooth system etc.

So, those system is the basic requirement for your computer. You should have manual of that camera. It will give you details about computer configurations requirement.
