For education purposes (since this is in the Special Ed section- schools have criteria that is used to formally identify students for the Gifted and Talented program (students are then labeled Gifted).  Criteria usually includes score on achievement or intelligence tests (above the 95th percentile) or a special talent in one of the Arts.  Minority status is often taken in to account.

    A bright student is a high achiever and/or high IQ that may or may not have qualified for the gifted program.

  3. A gifted child born with a gift

    A bright child born with a bright environment, such as home, family, security and safety but for a gifted child even though none of these, poor family, born blind and yet a capacity is beyond humans comprehension.

  4. Gifted children have special innate abilities - music, mathematics, languages, etc.

    Bright children are well above average, usually in various subjects.
