  1. The North Pole is the northernmost point on earth.  The South Pole is the southernmost point on earth.  The South Pole lies on a continental land mass called Antarctica while the North Pole is located in the middle of the Arctic Ocean.


  2. north pole is in north(northern hemisphere) while southern pole is in south ( southern hemisphere),whereas Antartica is a continent in the southern hemisphere covering almost south pole.

  4. North Pole is where the earths axis would extend out of the top of the earth if you could see it. Same for the South Pole, except on the bottom of the planet. Antartica is the continent that covers the bottom portion of the planet. The Arctic is the cover over the top, but is not a continent.
