What are the difference of social status of physicians in Asia and Europe?

I am doing a research regarding the social status of physician in Asia and Europe.... despite the job there is bound to be a difference between the social status of physician between this 2 big continents... social status define by different aspects such as salary, political roles, economical, popularity....and for every aspects, what are the reasons for its current states? any effects or changes in the future? if anyone has any answers about either topics regarding social status of physicians in Asia or Europe, update me ASAP.....

Doctors in China are considered no more important than a policeman, school teacher, etc. The pay is about same. It's a regular job here.
