  1. passport and voting rights

Also territories are usually places aquired by economic squeezing like Jamaica etc...

  2. Yes and no.  You may be able to get a US passport but you are not allowed to vote in any elections concerning the US.

The US is comprised of 50 states.  Every other territory is a commonwealth, like Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, etc.  Owned and governed by the US but not a state and they do NOT pay taxes to the US or themselves.

  3. Of crouse.

  4. All 50 states have Representatives in Washington. Puerto Rico is a protected territory as is also Guam, they have Representatives in Washington but NO votes. There has been talk of making Puerto Rico a state but that depends on the people living there. Other out lying territories are Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands, the Virgin Islands, Wake Atoll, and a bunch of other small places, islands,  also American Samoa .If interested you might look in a World Almanac. Available in you local library or you can look on the web.
